How do I set after-call work and the idle break?
Choose how long the after-call countdown runs, and after how many idle minutes you are put on break automatically.
Where to find it
Sidebar › sliders icon at the bottom › Preferences
Open this screenSteps
- Press the sliders icon at the bottom of the sidebar to open “Preferences”.
- In “After-call work (seconds)”, type how many seconds of wrap-up you want after each call (0 to 600).
- In “Go on break when idle for (minutes)”, type the minutes without mouse, keyboard or touch after which you are moved to On break (0 to 120).
- Type 0 in either field to turn that feature off. Changes are saved at once; press “Close”.
Settings on this screen
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| After-call work (seconds) | Length of the after-call countdown shown when a call ends. | 30 |
| Go on break when idle for (minutes) | Only while your status is Available: after this long without using the screen, your status becomes On break so you are not offered calls. | 15 |
Troubleshooting
I keep being put on break
You were away from the screen longer than the idle minutes. Raise the number, or type 0 to turn it off.
Tips
- The idle break exists so that a forgotten browser tab does not keep taking calls nobody is there to answer.
Good to know
- The idle timer only runs while your status is Available.
