How do I change my email address?

Where to find it

Open this screen

The change email address form on the Account page.

Steps

Open “Account”.
Under “Change email address”, type the new address in “New email address”.
Type your password in “Current password”.
Press “Send confirmation to new address”. A green note confirms that the link was sent.
Open the email that arrives at the new address and follow its link. From then on you sign in with the new address.

Troubleshooting

It says the password is wrong

The page shows “Password is incorrect.” Type the password you use to sign in today. If you have forgotten it, sign out and use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page.

It says the address is already in use

“That email address is already in use.” means another account signs in with it. Choose a different address.

It says that is already my address

“That is already the email address on this account.” Nothing needs to change.

It says email cannot be sent right now

“Email cannot be sent right now. Your address was not changed. Try again once outbound email is available.” Nothing was changed. Try again later.

Tips

No email at the new address? Check its spam folder before sending the form again.

Good to know

The read-only demo account cannot change its email address.
Your current address stays active until the new one is confirmed.
