Troubleshooting

“The system prompt is too long. It can be up to 200,000 characters.”

Shorten the instructions. Long reference material belongs in the agent’s sources (Files, Text snippets, Website, Q&A).

“Fill in every [[GAP]] before saving.”

The text still holds a [[GAP]] mark from a draft written by AI. Replace each one with the real value, then save.

Tips

  • Facts can be in the instructions or in the sources; the agent never states a fact that neither of them contains.
  • The Playground’s Instructions (System prompt) box edits the same text.

Good to know

  • Only managers can edit; everyone else sees the instructions read-only.
  • The instructions cannot switch off the built-in call rules, such as answering only from your material and staying in the caller’s language.
