Troubleshooting
New AI agent is greyed out.
The organisation has reached its agent limit. Delete an agent you no longer need (it goes to the Trash), or ask about a larger plan.
A red “0 passages” label shows on an agent.
Nothing it can search is indexed yet. Open the agent and add a source under Knowledge base (Files, Text snippets, Website or Q&A). Until then it answers only from its instructions.
Tips
- The Voice column shows the voice callers hear on the lines the agent answers; change it with Choose the voice on the agent’s page.
- Which agent answers each phone line is chosen on the agent’s page under Line & status, in the Answered by column.
- When a yellow banner says live calls do not use these agents yet, changes here do not change what a call says.
- Test outbound readiness (under the test call) checks, without dialing anyone, what an AI call from this line needs: the number at the carrier, the caller ID, the public address, the AI agent, its knowledge base and voice, the opening AI disclosure and the calling rules. Each failed check says how to fix it.
Good to know
- Only managers of the organisation see New AI agent, the select boxes and the bulk buttons; everyone else can read the list.
- On a call an agent cannot book or confirm appointments, call back or send anything; it says so and gives the contact route your sources contain.
