A call was refused: attempt limit or country limit reached
Understand the limits on how many calls are placed, and when calling carries on.
Where to find it
Calls › Dialer, Calls › Outbound call agents
Open this screen
Steps
- Read the refusal or the batch status.
- Attempt limit: the contact has had the campaign's maximum attempts. Raise the limit on the campaign, or leave the contact.
- Country limit: the contact's country allows no more calls to them today or this week. Call again tomorrow or next week.
Troubleshooting
A batch shows "Waiting for the hourly call limit".
A separate dial cap (for example cold-call pacing) can still pause a batch. Nothing to do: it carries on when a slot frees.
"This contact has reached the campaign's limit of call attempts."
Raise the attempt limit on the campaign, or leave this contact.
"The contact's country allows no more calls to them today."
Call again tomorrow.
"The contact's country allows no more calls to them this week."
Call again next week.
Tips
- Every call placed to the contact counts as an attempt, whether or not it was answered.
Good to know
- The limits are applied on the server for every call and cannot be raised from these screens.
