Outbound call agents (AI batches)
Have your AI agent call a list of numbers, one at a time, with the goal and calling instructions you set, and see what came of each call.
Where to find it
Calls › Outbound call agents
Open this screen
Steps
- Open Calls › Outbound call agents.
- Press New batch, fill in the batch (or press Create with AI to draft it) and press Save. Saving places no calls.
- In the batches table press Start. Your agent calls every number on the list, one at a time.
- Use Pause, Resume and Stop while it runs, and press the progress figure (for example 3/20) to see every recipient.
- Read Recent agent calls for the result of each call.

Troubleshooting
A yellow banner says telephony is in simulator mode or Twilio is not connected.
No real phone can ring from this service yet, so Start and Resume are disabled. Only the platform operator can change this.
The status says "Waiting for the hourly call limit".
Your workspace has used its agent calls for this hour (the number is in the banner above the table). The batch carries on by itself when a slot frees up.
The status says "Waiting for the calling hours".
It is outside the batch's calling hours. The next number is dialled when the window opens.
A red banner appears after Start, Resume or Call again.
It names the check that stopped the batch and what to do. See the outbound refusal articles.
Tips
- A batch is checked number by number with the same checks as a single agent call, so one refused number does not stop the others.
- Lists that people call are in the Dialer and Call campaigns.
- A batch can call from a line that only makes calls; its calls show that line's own number as the caller ID.
Good to know
- Calls to Japanese numbers are allowed 9:00–20:00 JST; a batch's calling hours can only narrow that.
- Up to 500 numbers per batch and 50 batches per organisation.
- Creating, starting and editing batches needs the admin or manager role.
