Synthia, the support assistant

Ask a question in your own words and get the steps from the how-to guide, with the article it came from and a button that opens that screen.

Where to find it

The round Synthia button at the bottom right of every signed-in screen, and the Ask box at the end of every how-to page

Steps

  1. Press the round Synthia button at the bottom right of the screen, or use the Ask box at the end of a how-to page.
  2. Ask your question in your own words, or pick one of the suggestions.
  3. To talk with Synthia instead of typing, press Tap to talk next to the send button at the bottom of the panel and speak. What she hears is sent, and she answers out loud. Press Tap to talk again to end the voice conversation.
  4. To show Synthia something, press + and upload a file (an image, PDF, Word or text file), take a photo on a phone, or attach a screenshot of the page after checking it. Remove any you don’t want before you send.
  5. Read the answer: the steps come from a how-to article, named under From the how-to guide. Press the title to read the whole article.
  6. Press Open this screen to go to the screen the article is about, or Show me to have the control pointed out. Do it for me also opens the form and types the values in.
  7. Anything that saves, sends or dials is left for you to press.

Troubleshooting

Tap to talk does not hear me.

Allow the microphone for this site in your browser settings and press Tap to talk again. If your browser cannot listen, type your question: with the voice conversation on, Synthia still answers out loud.

Tips

  • The microphone next to Tap to talk only writes what you say into the question field, so you can check it before you send it.
  • If the guide does not answer your question, Synthia says so instead of guessing and offers a support ticket filled in with your question and the page; it is sent only when you press Send.
  • On the public how-to pages, sign in to open a support ticket, or use the contact page.
  • Press Esc to close the bubble.
  • On a phone, change the screen language with the picker at the top of the screen.
  • Press Alt+Shift+S (Option+Shift+S on a Mac) on any screen to open or close Synthia. While the panel is open, Tab stays inside it.
  • Under each answer you can copy it, have it read aloud, or mark it helpful or not helpful. A thumbs-down tells the AI-SNS.IO CALL team which guide is missing.
  • Press the person icon at the top of the panel to talk to a person: a support ticket opens with your last question and the page filled in.
  • The expand button makes the panel bigger; on a phone it fills the screen. Answers that arrive while the panel is closed show a number on the round button.
  • Read aloud uses the voice you chose, else your account's voice, else the default voice, Eve. If none of these can play here, your browser's voice reads it.

Good to know

  • Synthia answers from the how-to guide and the product’s own help only: she never quotes prices and never promises phone numbers, text messages or bookings.
  • Synthia never saves, sends or dials for you.
  • If the platform’s AI model is not set up, Synthia says so and still shows the matching how-to articles as links.
  • Signed-out visitors and members see answers from the guides everyone can read; admin guides are used only for admins and managers.
  • Not shown in the read-only demo.
  • With each question Synthia gets the page you are on and the notices shown on it (named under the question field). It does not read what you type into the page’s forms.
  • Your conversation is kept on this device until you press New conversation or sign out.
  • Up to 5 files per question, 10 MB each: images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF), PDF, Word (.docx) and text (.txt, .md, .csv). Other file types are refused.
  • Attached files are kept for 30 days for your organisation, then deleted, and are sent to the AI model with your question. Don’t upload personal data you don’t need to.
  • A screenshot is taken only after your browser asks you to share the tab, and is attached only when you press Attach screenshot. On a phone you can take a photo instead.
